SOME HISTORY

In the early seventies a number of english companies in the high pressure branch were in the need of an active agency in Sweden.

This opportunity resulted in 1973 in the foundation of Gaveco by
Claes Granfelt and Ulf Odenhammar in Stockholm.

The company's main focus was already from the start products for industrial and military purposes.

Shortly after began a collaboration with the Swedish Department of Defence, where Gaveco contributed to the design of e g rescuing suits for the swedish Airforce and Submarine Division.

Over the next few years expanded, in addition to agency operations, their own development and the creation of a separate panel workshop where Gaveco build their own automation of compressors etc.

The nineties saw a surge of natural gas powered vehicles.

Gaveco, together with several major automotive manufacturing companies, has entered the gas vehicle market by designing a safety system, which evacuates
the gas between the tanks and the engine of the
vehicle in case of an emergency.

To this day, Gaveco is still under the leadership of its founder Claes Granfelt.

Since 1990 Gaveco has its own property in Stockholm-Tyresö.
